Mentorship Program

The 2009-10 Mentorship Program is being offered as a Members-Only benefit, serving to promote long-term leadership and professional development via one-to-one relationships. Proteges will have the opportunity to tap the experience of seasoned marketing and business development professionals on topics ranging from career advancement to networking skills, the business development cycle and overall best practices and strategies.

SMPS/LA's program has been carefully crafted to support successful connections. A calendar has been mapped out that starts with a "meet & greet" reception followed by quarterly round-table meetings that will allow the exchange of ideas and insights. Participants are also invtied to attend monthly Mixology mixers as an additional avenue to connect and bond with their partners. At the program's conclusion, a "graduation" ceremony will be held to recognize and thank the participants.

To ensure the program's success and nurture meaningful partnerships, participation will be limited. Additionally, a nominal fee is required and those monies will be used to provide tools, host the "meet and greet" and round-table sessions, and cover the cost of a beverage at designated Mixology events.
