Moving Ahead: The Outlook of Transportation in Southern California
Date: Wednesday, May 19
Southern California may be best known for its beautiful sunsets and ideal weather
...but it's also infamous for its notorious traffic congestion and under-developed public transit system. In response, new communities are considering features to improve transit access while older, more established communities have begun taking steps to retrofit their land development policies to encourage the use of alternative modes of transportation.
So, what do our local public agencies have planned to alleviate our regions' traffic build-up? What does the future hold?
Join our panel of transportation development leaders as they share their current plans and challenges related to upcoming capital improvement projects. With representatives from Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of our regional needs and potential A/E/C prospects. Topics to be covered in this discussion include:
- Short-term and long-term developments
- Which projects are dependent on Federal dollars?
- How agencies are addressing integrated transit
- And much more
