A Message from President Brandy Little

As children and college students head back to school, SMPS/LA is beginning its 2008-2009 board term. I anticipate this year to be more exciting than ever, with the underlying focus of our efforts targeted to the advancement of you, our membership. The SMPS/LA Board of Directors has set ambitious yet achievable goals to provide our membership true value and return on investment for your participation in our organization.

We have challenged ourselves to provide you with meaningful programming, educational firepower and value-adding benefits. Specific goals include increasing the “personal touch” of SMPS/LA, revamping our scholarship and mentorships programs, increasing awareness and benefits of CPSM certification, and improving communication to our membership. 

As we embark on our 28th year as a chapter, the SMPS/LA Board of Directors promises to embrace change, innovation and creativity as our guiding principle and means to reach our goals. Let this year be one of introspection and reinvention.  Let us “teach this old dog new tricks” by forging ways of personalizing the SMPS/LA experience and providing increased value for you, our members.

We, the Board of Directors, are your proponents for change. We are here for you – to hear your feedback, address your concerns and positively affect your progress. With your input, we can achieve our goals of creating an organization that fosters your success by arming you with the tools for building business and advancing your career.
