Inspired by the Renaissance inventor,
writer, painter and sculptor, the coveted Leonardo Award has been presented
each year since 1981 to recognize an individual that has demonstrated
excellence in marketing creativity and innovation as it relates to the built
environment. SMPS/LA is pleased to introduce you to the 2008 nominees, Daniel
Slater, Smith-Emery Company, Paula Stamp, CPSM, PCL Construction Services,
Inc., and Andrea Walden, Vantage Technology Consulting Group. Please join us
Thursday, June 12th at the California Club where we will honor these three
talented nominees, who are true leaders in their respective organizations,
the A/E/C industry and the community. |

Paula Stamp began her career marketing professional services for Ray Wilson Company in 1998. In 2000 she moved to PCL Construction Services, where she now serves as the Business Development Manager. Stamp's approach to marketing includes a four-fold mission focused on clients, strategic planning, education and marketing. Her primary responsibilities includes the identification and procurement of new clients relationships that lead to multiple projects over an extended period of time; marketing research to specific geographical locations; the professional advancement of business development and communication skills of operations staff; and the oversight of all marketing activities. The
successful implementation of Stamp's mission has led to a 300% increase in
revenue from year 2000 to 2007, the creation of an established training
program that focuses on client development, and the implementation of
marketing programs that result in award-winning communications campaigns.
Stamp is
a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) through the Society for Marketing
Professional Services, and has served the Los Angeles Chapter of the
organization in a variety of roles ranging from President to National SMPS
Striving for Excellence Juror. She has been recognized by the YWCA of Greater
Los Angeles and Leadership Pasadena for her role as a professional
leader.Stamp obtained a Masters of Business
Administration with a concentration in marketing management from Azusa
Pacific University. Her undergraduate degree is in Business Administration
from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. |

Andrea
Walden is a 20-year veteran that is well versed in creating and managing
effective business development and marketing solutions. Currently, she serves
as an Associate Principal for Vantage Technology Consulting Group responsible
for business development; market research and analysis; defining, promoting
and launching new business in strategic markets; and integrating business
development with operational functions. |
