President's Letter

Randy Paulson I am pleased to share that the your very capable SMPS/LA leadership is working hard to provide you with timely market intelligence and vital skills to help your business succeed. We will be touring the yet-to-be-seen Children's Hospital Los Angeles; a new class of protégés will be accepted into the new and improved Mentorship Program this March; and we're hosting the first-ever Pacific Regional Conference on March 25-26^th in Sacramento where you can connect with a network of professionals from throughout the western region; plus we have several more amazing events planned for 2010.

We are extremely excited to announce that Homeless Healthcare Los Angeles has been designated as our 2010 Chapter Charity of the Year!  The mission of Homeless Health Care Los Angeles (HHCLA) is to improve the health of homeless people through direct services, education and advocacy.  You can learn more about the great support HHCLA is providing our local community by attending our upcoming programs or visiting us online at www.smps-la.org.

We are looking forward to another great year and hope to see you at some of the fun activities that we have planned!  We are always open to suggestions and ideas. The Board of Directors is here for you so please do not hesitate to approach us to let us know how we are doing or how we can improve. 

Remember that SMPS/LA is a volunteer-driven organization and we welcome motivated and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with exceptional and supportive colleagues, and contributing to the vitality and ongoing development of the A/E/C industry. Volunteering for SMPS/LA is also a wonderful opportunity for personal and professional growth. The "Call for Nominations" for the 2010-2011 Term is coming up in March. Please consider this opportunity to expand your involvement in SMPS/LA.
